Its sporadic E season !

6M has been hopping over the past week with openings to the Pacific North West, Louisiana and Hawaii. You don't need a big gun for 6 - 100 watts to a dipole is often enough.

10M also benefits from Es openings. Even if the band sounds dead, try calling CQ a couple of times - you may be surprised who comes back.

10m FM is also worth a try - if there's nobody on the repeaters, try a call on 29.600.
