Michael Rickey AF6FB from PAPA will make a presentation about DMR. In this talk he will cover a little about the PAPA System, the history and features of DMR, using & programming the AnyTone D878, and hotspots.
Michael is mostly active on VHF and UHF – Analog and DMR, but you will find him on D-STAR occasionally. He is frequently on the BrandMeister DMR talkgroup SoCal/31066. He also does a little HF work, mostly portable. Michael is a member of The PAPA System and MARC (The Motorcycling Amateur Radio Club)
Ham Radio Examinations will be administered at 6:00 PM, prior to the start of our general meeting. Cost is $15/attempt. Pre-registration is not required and you don’t need to be a SOARA member to take the test.
