It’s that time of year again; ARRL Field Day 2023

This meeting is to get down the last details and volunteers determined for the setup, operations, and tear down of our club participation of Field Day 2023. I strongly encourage member turnout for this meeting. Those of you that have done Field Day before may have decided that you did it once, that’s enough. Understand. It can be quite a bit of work to put it together. But, it’s a lot more work with fewer people. We need a setup crew on Friday and Saturday morning, Saturday operations, Sunday teardown, and a crew to man and maintain the cooking tent.

Looking forward to seeing the most members at any meeting since the pandemic started 3 and a half years ago.

Ham Radio Examinations will take place prior to the General Meeting and also at the Murray Center. Testing session starts at 6pm and is $15/session.

Pre-registration is not required and you don’t need to be a SOARA member to take the test. Please contact our Education Director, Steve Kuver, if you have questions about testing at k6uvr@soara.org

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Please join us at the Murray Center Monday evening at 7pm. We will have coffee and snacks.

We have several things we will go over during this meeting:

1. A short video presentation on a portable HF setup as a lead in to the upcoming SOARA Saturday at Gilleran Park.
2. We will go over how the Auction will work for buyers and sellers on June 10th. See our Live Auction page for more information.
3. Field Day planning to begin. Our Activities Director will be on hand to explain where the help is needed and will start taking names of volunteers.
4. Opportunity drawing; prizes to to be announced at the meeting
