Matching systems are applied for different reasons such as matching a low impedance or a high impedance to the 52 ohm feed line and Factory designed matching networks are hard to improve on.   

Once you shorten the feed element to raise the frequency then shorten each element an equal amount.  Both the reflector and first director length affect SWR so GO SLOW with the hacksaw blade.   Lengthening an element is easy by taping a 4-40 screw into the end or crimping a sleeve over the end.    Bill K6ACJ   .
