This Month’s meeting speaker will be Patrick Williams, Kj6PFW, and the topic will be Digital Radio systems and monitoring.
Having been involved in Marine (VHF/HF), Aviation, Commercial and Public Safety communications most of his life, Patrick is currently President and Radio Officer of MESAC, the City of Costa Mesa’s Emergency Auxiliary Communications Unit.
Patrick works with the Costa Mesa City Emergency management to maintain their EOC, and manage the Radio Room He has completed the FEMA/DHS AUXCOMM training and participates with Cal OES at the JTF iBASE, Los Alamitos. He frequently participates in communications for several high profile public service events such as Baker to Vegas, and the Mojave Death Race, the Surf City Marathon, and the Huntington Beach Air Show. He has also taught classes at Orange County’s Loma Ridge, dealing with the County’s trunked radio system.
