What’s Officially Happening?
SOARA will be commemorating our 50 Years of Service Anniversary at the Upper Gilleran Park Picnic Shelter, daytime only, on MAY 18, and MAY19 for the SOARA Official Special Event Station (SES).
We’ve registered the SES with the ARRL, so we should Officially appear in the May 2024 Edition of QST!
We’ll be sending out special QSL cards to contacts, on request, with the SOARA 50th Anniversary logo and telling the world a little about the reason for the SES and about SOARA.
We’ll need some help making this happen, in the area of Antennas, Radios, Food, possibly an easy-up or 2 to dispurse the stations a bit. All bands are available, VHF, UHF, and HF. We will only have frequencies on 10, 15, 20 and 40 meters published in QST. though, because of their format.
Be thinking about what you’d like to do. Operations will be similar to Winter Field Day.
Should be good practice for ARRL Field Day in June, but also FUN!
